Which magazine featured this house best? A fun election!

0
Can we all give a hallelujah to the end of political ads? I wish there was a rule that in political ads candidates could only talk about the positive things they’ve done and want to do- and NOT mention any other candidates!
So, I thought I’d have a fun election. We have the same house – the home of the folks who run Indenfor & Udenfor, featured by 7 different publications. I want you to vote which magazine featured the home best. You can click on each image for a larger view.

Wallpaper I LOVE!

0

Wallpaper is by no means a new “trend.” It’s been back in style for a few years now. That’s why I’m surprised I’ve just now discovered Studio Nommo – which has a gorgeous collection. I have designer Ashley from *i’m smitten* to thank. She designed one of my favs, the “Foxy” wallpaper.

The card from *i’m smitten* that was reinterpreted into wallpaper.

Below are some other designs from Studio Nommo that I like

I’ve been liking feathers a lot lately

This one’s titled “Things on my desk” Great for a home office!

Love the pomegranates!

You can also design your own wallpaper by uploading a photo or illustration to their site. See more at Studio Nommo

Lovely coastal and country French furnishings

While in Colmar, a city in the Alsace region of France, I saw this store, Maisons du Monde, from the street and they had a stack of magazines outside the shop. So I picked one up for some train reading material. They have some nice styling, and the furniture seems decent, so I thought I’d share. Can anyone attest to the quality?

– never seen a couch with such high arms!

They seem to carry furnishings in all different styles.

really like the chair.

This would be a great piece for a fine artist!

What do you think? Kinda has a Pottery Barn look to it.

Fun and pretty accessories and furniture – Danish style

0

House Doctor is a danish based interior company, and I’ll think you’ll like some of their stuff. While the all over look in these photos may not be my style, I could find many a happy place in my house for a lot of the accessories and furniture.

I really like this side table and the chest.
Isn’t this dreamy. We are leaving the outer banks today *tear*, I should have set up a little tent.

I especially like their styling when the colors are more subdued.

Happy Friday! I thought today I’d just share some pretty living rooms.

A stylish multifunctional space

Maybe this one is more of a home office. I would love to have a couch or easy chair in my office for when I’m searching through my books and magazines.

Pretty interesting that they used books to bring in their pop of color.

A beautiful mountain trail with the bluest river below

More pics from my summer in Europe! These photos are from the Cares Gorge walk, one of Chris’s favorite parts of our trip this summer. Read more about it here. At 12km, it’s quite long, and can get very busy during peak travel season, so go early or off-season. DEFINITELY wear some hiking boots and be careful on the trail. It does get skinny in some parts and the gorge is deep.

looking down from the trail!

the water was so clear and beautiful!

Some lovely eye candy for you

Say what you will about the quality of Ikea, but I do like to look through their seasonal catalogs for inspiration. I found their latest to be especially full of some lovely ideas.
