    Lots of Marble

Whether it’s real, faux, tile, or an added touch of decor; marble makes me happy. It goes along with the neutral bright white theme that I love, looks so clean, and has a little character at the same time. Here’s a little marble inspiration to give you an idea of how you could use it in your home:

  • New Year – New Furniture

    New Year – New Furniture

Well, we can dream right?  I don’t know why I peruse flash sale sites for new furniture, because it only teases me.  I’m in love with our new open layout great room, but the renovation left little room for furnishings, and we pretty much have all we need anyway…

    It’s harmless to look, right?

    Loving nailhead trim these days.

With a dog that has 24/7 access to our perpetually muddy backyard, I’m drawn to darker rugs more and more.

  • Relaxed Luxury

    Relaxed Luxury

Pairing the impossible is one of my favorite things! Putting two design types that contradict each other make for an interesting room. Today I found some amazing pictures that show a side of relaxed luxury.
You can make a room stand out and be luxurious and all it takes is one simple piece of furniture to create a relaxed luxury feeling.
A stunning table can be paired with woven chairs or a bench seat to make it a little more relaxing.
A beautiful luxurious home can be made relaxed by the materials and furniture choices you choose.
A traditional home can be made more luxurious by simple hardware and lights, stunning mirrors, and luxurious counter tops!
Do you like the look of relaxed luxury?
  • Chairs that have caught my eye!

Chairs that have caught my eye!

I don’t know what it is about chairs, but they seem to catch my eye! I feel like they are an easy thing to switch out and although some are quite pricey, you can find great ones in any budget. They can create a cozy environment, add extra seating, or just give the room something special.
There’s something about a unique chair that gets me every time.
Even if it’s a chair that’s meant to not be seen! It adds a little something extra to the room.
They can be bold and make a statement.
Or tuck inside a special space, but still be beautifully designed.
Almost every room can use a chair. You can’t say that for most items in each room of your house!
What kind of chairs do you love the most?
  • Bedside Tables I Love

    Bedside Tables I Love

Almost every bed is paired with a bedside table, but don’t think you have to stick with something that matches your headboard or dresser set. Some of the best bedrooms are mix and match and these are just a few that I love:

  • Make it Interesting!

    Make it Interesting!

It is so easy to just pick a chair that fits into our style or color scheme, but why not pick something that stands out a bit. Maybe something interesting?
Let it stand out from all your other furniture and catch your eye.
Give it a little personality with a bright color!
Let it stand out from the rest of your room by picking something that shines on it’s own.
Pick a one of a kind by finding a chair that could be updated to your liking!

  • Making Cozy Comfortable

    Making Cozy Comfortable

How can you make a room that’s labeled as “cozy” be comfortable? With minimal space and few options to fill that space, how to make it look like you actually want to spend time in there?
Here are a few tips I have for making that transition from tiny to lovely.
6 Gorgeous Small Bathroom Ideas That Will Have You At Hello!
Take the room you have and add simple touches to make it feel like a home. A plant, a rug, a picture. Start small.
Dedicate space for what you love. We spend so much time making our home look like magazines but if it isn’t what you want in your home or isn’t useful, don’t buy it! Buy what you love and what you need.
Buy smart. One piece of furniture that you love, that fits the room is better than piecing together multiple pieces that may or may not work. Make smart choices that leave you with the best square footage and still comfy.
Be creative. Find pieces that have duel purposes and that provide you with more options, but also add character to the room.
Small spaces can be fabulous, as you’ll see in these tiny balcony garden spots with moods that range from city sophistication to pure Zen.
Keep it clean and fresh. Fresh flowers and clean blankets really can make a difference.
How are you making your cozy space more comfortable?
  • A Simple Chair can Change the Room!

A Simple Chair can Change the Room!

When decorating a room, I love to add a simple chair. There are so many advantages to having one, like an accent to tie the room together, extra seating, or to fill an empty space. They can add texture to an otherwise dull room.
They create a sense of comfort to a room.
They can provide personality and a pop of color.
It doesn’t matter what size the room is, there are so many styles of chairs you can easily find one to fit the space.
Even if you think a chair wouldn’t fit in, you’d be surprised it add’s a much needed character.

It’s amazing what one chair can do to a room.
  • Highpoint Market Preview

I’m so excited to show off some of Global View’s High Point Market’s preview’s today! Their furniture trends are always on point and this season’s preview isn’t any different.

They are going with the color theme Copper, Ink, and Camel which I think is so fitting for fall and winter this year. Check out some of the amazing things they are offering:

Absolutely love this set up, there are so many pieces here I’d easily take home with me if I could!
For one this lamp is gorgeous! I love how simple it is and could go in any room but it’s glamorous enough to shine!
These colors just coordinate so well together!
These vases would be perfect for so many rooms in my house. A touch of gold is an amazing way to brighten up a room.
Don’t be afraid to go bold either!

  • Sleek Bathrooms

Most bathrooms have a more traditional feel to them. It’s the like the standard bathroom vanities are the most common you’ll see, why not switch it up a bit and add a different feel to the room:

Just because it’s standard size or smaller than that – doesn’t mean you need to have standard features! Make it feel larger with a floating vanity.
Make it stand out with a contrast in color, or an open shelf. Keep the pulls simple so it doesn’t clutter up the room. You can find some great choices at tradewinds.com that give it a more modern feel.

Or tie it in with a simple color that fits nicely with the overall theme. Why skimp on a room we wake up to every morning?
