    Glamorous Industrial apartment

The apartment below is a fresh mix of industrial style meets glamorous.

It comes from Heart Home magazine

“From the studio of Jaime Beriestain, this renovated apartment celebrates its industrial roots but has more than a touch of added luxury thrown in. It was originally an office but after its sympathetic transformation into a sophisticated living space it now has a warm, timeless and contemporary ambiance. ”

Love all of the natural light in this space, the neutrals are a breath of fresh air too.

The kitchen is a bit dark for me, but I still appreciate it.

The clean lines and copper make this bathroom glamorous even though other elements are very industrial.

How great is all of that exposed brick?

  • Inspiration for using copper in your home

Inspiration for using copper in your home

Copper accents, Decor, hoods, and tubs

If you haven’t noticed, copper is BIG right now. Wether you can only afford to go small with decor like copper hardware, cookware, planters, or lighting OR if you are lucky enough to go big like with a copper tub, range hood, gutter, or doors, there is plenty of inspiration below. So get your Christmas list out and get ready to take notes!

Want to start small? If you’re nervous about integrating copper in your decor or simply have a more modest budget, copper pendants are a great way to add the warmth and patina in your home.

Want to go grandiose? It doesn’t get more beautiful than this modern copper door.  It brings out the warmth in the stones perfectly, and will continue to be beautiful with age.

I take a lot of hot baths in the winter.  This tub would be more than adequate for soaking.

I couldn’t decide which example of a copper hood to show you, so I thought you wouldn’t mind seeing both. I wouldn’t mind having either!

Copper farmhouse sink!!! Leaded glass windows!

Depending on your number of cabinets, copper hardware can be an affordable way to integrate copper into your decor.

One great source of copper goods is World Copper Smith  They offer a wide variety ranging from kitchen hardware to copper bathtubs.

This range would look stunning in any kitchen.

Even a sink can be dressed up with copper.

This copper table is a work of art.

In a tub like this I would spend many evenings soaking.

  • We are with Belgium

Heartbroken is the best way to describe how I feel about what happened in Belgium. Why all the hate? Life is such a beautiful thing.  To honor Belgium today, I want to focus on the beauty of Belgium and it’s people. The property below was painstakingly restored over the course of 11 years. Vaucelleshop is a Flemish Estate dating back to 1275 and is comprised of seven historic buildings dating back from the 17th, 18th, and 19th centuries. Enjoy the beauty below:

I’m not sure which building is which,  but they started restoration with the 1876 farmhouse, where grain was stored above the living spaces.  The property is comprised of 11 acres.
Understated elegance is the epitome of Belgian style.
    That staircase is gorgeous.
The mix of antique furnishings and artwork makes the home even more special.
I love how Europeans bring the outdoors in and vice versa.
The kitchen was actually a former pig barn!
Those floors might be worth the extra effort it would take to clean them.
So beautiful.  Read and see more at the blog where I found these photos, A Thoughtful Eye
  • High Point Global Views for the Holiday Season

High Point is bringing you great finds from Global Views to add to your home that just premiered this fall! Touches of ink blue and camel with the copper are the perfect way to warm up your home for the coming season.

Here is an interview with Erin Davis Smithson of the Global Views product design and development team about the items we featured here:

“These droplet jars are modern, versatile and perfect for any room. You can make a fun terrarium in them, hold your bath soaps or keep kitchen essentials encapsulated in Style. Inspired by 1960’s genie jars, the clear glass version makes them fun and functional for today.”

Inspired by a cuff bracelet, the copper finish makes this truly jewelry for your home. Copper is on trend for this season, but timeless for any interior. The scratched texture makes it unique. The side table is more versatile being smaller and can add the whimsy to many rooms as a side table or put out in multiples for a larger seating group. The Cuff Cocktail Table also comes in silvery-white nickel finish, pictured below.”

“The Bezel border rug pattern is inspired by an early 20th century air vent register. Menswear inspired color story, the Orange and ink blue update the rug for today. Available in many sizes, you can have this sophisticated rug in any room.”

You can find all of these pieces at a Global Views retailer near you! Which one is your favorite?
