If you stay up to date with home decor news you probably already know that Nate Berkus and Jeremiah Brent sold their NYC penthouse apartment in Greenwich village recently. I figured it was therefore a good time to revisit since it’s soon to be packed up and vacated!
The foyer definitely has cool and refreshing mediterranean feel.
The apartment is prewar, so you get lots of amazing moulding and architectural details.
Cute family!
I’m sure you’ve seen their kitchen around the blogosphere. The glossy black cabinets, amazing windows and herringbone floors are amazing.
I adore all of the build-in shelving!
Sweet baby Poppy’s nursery. It certainly looks glamorous!

Poppy’s play room. The built-in bench looks like a cozy place to play.
The master bathroom manages to be glamorous with the stone backsplash and rustic with the hardwood floors.
OMG this walk in closet.

What do you think of the apartment?

Having an infant means forget about any predictability in your schedule, no matter how organized you are. You can however, get a little respite from the chaos if your home is adorned in soothing colors and other elements that bring you calm (even if the sofa is piled with yesterday’s laundry and the sink is full of dirty dishes).
Love the soft-hued rug – not as severe as a more standard red rug…
After Pompeii, the next stop on my trip around Europe last summer was the Amalfi coast. If you don’t have a car, than the best way to see it is by bus. Most of the pictures are from the bus window, so forgive me if they are blurry or have a glare. As terrifying as it was to be at times on this bus whizzing around curves on the edge of the rocky cliff side, the view was staggeringly beautiful.
The bus stops in towns along the coast. The first one had a very interesting cathedral
Impressive homes and vineyards perched on the cliffs

We took a swim in this town
I spotted this gorgeous secluded beach from the bus…
Our last stop was Positano. It is touristy and a resort town, but it really was beautiful.
