    Lots of Marble

Whether it’s real, faux, tile, or an added touch of decor; marble makes me happy. It goes along with the neutral bright white theme that I love, looks so clean, and has a little character at the same time. Here’s a little marble inspiration to give you an idea of how you could use it in your home:

  • Spring Cleaning in Winter

    Spring Cleaning in Winter

I’m not sure what it is about the new year and cleaning but it feels like spring cleaning in here! It might be the sense of purging things I don’t need as a way to get a fresh start, but whatever it is, I love it.
I take everything off the shelves and out of the cabinets, reevalute when the last time I used it and if it’s worth keeping and freshen up the shelves. Here’s some inspiration if you are feeling the winter cleaning buzz:
One of my favorite things to do is sometimes rearrange some stuff. Move one basket you had in one room to another one. It’s amazing how refreshing it can feel simply by being moved. But, if you have lots of random items which you need to move out or rearrange, you can take advice from simplymaids sydney and they always go an amazing job.

Holiday Decor I Love this Year

There is something about holiday decor that just puts a bright and cheery mood in the air. I am always on the search for new ideas. Although I tend to lean towards the more simple decor, there is something stunning about a home that is decorated head to toe!

It seems like this is the year for reindeer and I love it!
I love to see how others set their tables for the holidays too. The cold tableware is beautiful.
Handcrafted to look like old-fashioned stockings, artisans in Nepal hand knit each of these from 100% wool. The facility they're crafted at is Fair Trade Certified, meaning that each stocking purchased directly improves the life of the artisan who makes it. A thoughtful gift!:

Think outside the box. Make a larger bed work in a small room with some creativity!
Remember that it’s just a bedroom and get rid of the extra unnecessary things. All you need is a bed, side tables, and maybe a dresser depending on storage!

Remember this is a room where you are sleeping, not spending your day!
For a kids room, storage is key! Kids come with a lot of miscellaneous things and a small room doesn’t leave much floor space. Make sure everything has a place.
Add a mirror or a pop of color on one wall. Painting the whole room might make the room feel smaller so limiting it to one wall helps define the space but keep it from feeling closed in.
It won’t be long before you hear yourself saying that a small bedroom isn’t so bad after all!
