Having a defined area to fold laundry is something I personally love! It’s also nice for storing things that you use constantly like laundry soap.
Having a place to hang up your clothes as soon as you pull them out of they dryer is nice! Having a hanging area that doesn’t take up much space is even better!
Keeping laundry storage clutter free is not easy. Baskets are a great idea to hide all the clutter but keep everything easily accessible.

Pick materials you love! Great cabinets, drawers, and counter tops can make a huge difference on your mood the second you walk into the laundry room. Make sure it’s a space that you actually enjoy being in!
  • Making Cozy Comfortable

    Making Cozy Comfortable

How can you make a room that’s labeled as “cozy” be comfortable? With minimal space and few options to fill that space, how to make it look like you actually want to spend time in there?
Here are a few tips I have for making that transition from tiny to lovely.
6 Gorgeous Small Bathroom Ideas That Will Have You At Hello!
Take the room you have and add simple touches to make it feel like a home. A plant, a rug, a picture. Start small.
Dedicate space for what you love. We spend so much time making our home look like magazines but if it isn’t what you want in your home or isn’t useful, don’t buy it! Buy what you love and what you need.
Buy smart. One piece of furniture that you love, that fits the room is better than piecing together multiple pieces that may or may not work. Make smart choices that leave you with the best square footage and still comfy.
Be creative. Find pieces that have duel purposes and that provide you with more options, but also add character to the room.
Small spaces can be fabulous, as you’ll see in these tiny balcony garden spots with moods that range from city sophistication to pure Zen.
Keep it clean and fresh. Fresh flowers and clean blankets really can make a difference.

  • A Simple Chair can Change the Room!

A Simple Chair can Change the Room!

When decorating a room, I love to add a simple chair. There are so many advantages to having one, like an accent to tie the room together, extra seating, or to fill an empty space. They can add texture to an otherwise dull room.
They create a sense of comfort to a room.
They can provide personality and a pop of color.
It doesn’t matter what size the room is, there are so many styles of chairs you can easily find one to fit the space.
Even if you think a chair wouldn’t fit in, you’d be surprised it add’s a much needed character.

  • Ideas for Creating More Space

    Ideas for Creating More Space

For those of us who lack square footage, we just need to get creative with the space we have. Some people would say you need more space, I say you need to think outside the box!
Use light bright colors to make the room feel more open and inviting.
Create a loft if you can for additional square footage.
Make a two person table space have room for more with a couple of bench seats.
Skinny spaces don’t have to be impossible. Choosing the right items like a skinny sink and toilet make this less cramped.
Don’t have room for seating and tables? This console gives you a place to set your drink without losing a ton of square footage and creating weird walkways just to get to the couch.
A desk doesn’t have to be large to be functional. A little corner table can do just fine.
Don’t be afraid to think outside the box!
  • Small Backyards

    Small Backyards

With downsizing our homes comes downsizing our outdoor areas. For those of us who love to be outdoors but have limited space, what are you supposed to do?
It’s obvious square footage isn’t required for a stunning space. Some beautiful stone, some great plants, and a nice place to sit is all you really need!

  • Decorating on a Budget

    Decorating on a Budget

For those of us who have the desire to change the way our home looks, but don’t have a winning lottery to do so, here are a few things you can do to decorate on a budget:
Lend farmhouse charm to your dining room with a grain bin repurposed as a buffet. The deep drawers are suited for storing linens and party staples, such as candles and special occasion china! http://www.bhg.com/decorating/storage/projects/from-flea-market-finds-to-savvy-storage/?socsrc=bhgpin041615fleamarketstorage&page=16

Check out your local thrift stores, flea markets, and yard sales! Get a great piece of furniture that might cost you a couple hundred brand new, and make it yours for just a few bucks.
Ask family and friends for unused furniture! Chances are high someone you know has something in their basement they don’t even know is down there anymore. Take it off their hands and in your home!

You might be surprised to find that you already own a fantastic piece of furniture that just needs a little TLC. Some paint and new hardware can make a huge change without much of a dent! My tip on spending less on paint? Buy a sample size bucket instead of a gallon especially for small pieces.
A little advanced diy for me but still a good one! I may have someone else do it for me ^^
Don’t want to buy expensive shelving? DIY! Wood and stain are much cheaper than pre-made store bought.
Be creative! Take the time to search and find the right pieces for the right price or see if you can make it yourself! You may be surprised at how much you can do with a tight budget.

  • Small Spaces done right

    Small Spaces done right

It’s difficult to create a roomy feel when you are limited on square footage. Here are a few examples of different spaces that I think are done well for limited space.
A bedroom doesn’t have to be large to be glamorous. You also don’t need a lot in a bedroom to make it a bedroom! A bed and a side table will do just fine since this is a room for sleeping. Keep is simple with a touch of your personality to make it homey.
Laundry rooms can be extravagant or simple but making the most of the space you have is what makes it stand out. This simple closet doesn’t look like much but it has everything you need.
An office doesn’t require a room, a little nook or corner will do just fine! I love when paint is used to separate a space like this. Keep it simple and clutter free so it doesn’t matter where in the home it is!
Closets are so personal. Everyone has different priorities for them and different needs whether it’s shelving, hanging space, or shoe storage! When the closet is small sometimes you can feel limited to how you can design it to fit your needs, but this picture proves that you still can!
Sometimes a dinning room room table or a kitchen table aren’t a necessary! If you don’t have a large family, a dinning room might be a waste of space. This kitchen nook is perfect for small spaces and the extra storage on the side is a great bonus.
Powder rooms tend to be small, but what do you do if you have a tiny powder room? This one is done so well! With a skinny sink to give youroom to walk and a bold pattern behind the toilet, this space looks well designed even though it’s super small!
