    Using fabric to decorate walls

This can be used in the kitchens and if used correctly, they can go really well with Black Stainless Steel Appliances. You can easily get fabrics with floral patterns or even geometric prints easily from the market. Such things are also easily procured from the market at cheap rates. Its very easy to install and adorn your walls. All you have to do is cut the fabric in square or round shapes and have them framed and hung from the wall. You can also attach them to the smooth side of a cardboard and past them on the wall, if you choose to. This DIY home décor idea is easy, economical and colourful.

The best way to personalise a living space is to adorn it with pictures that bring back sweet memories. Such memories look even better if framed in classic frames. Framing old and memorable pictures using antique frames will give an elegant touch to your walls. Also, they add a bit of a drama to the contemporary outlook of your living room. You can find many old vintage frames in the market at cheap rates. All you need to do is to install a picture that you love the most and hang it to the main wall of your room. Trust me; you will love every bit of it.

Have you ever imagined making an invisible bookshelf where books just seem to float in mid-air with literally no supports? Well, now you can create one easily! All you need is two sets of metal brackets, a drilling machine and a couple of old books. If your old books are heavy, try going for metal brackets that are made of sturdier material. Start by drilling holes into the wall and place one bracket on the top of the wall and one on the lower end and then slide in the book between the brackets. This will ensure that the book is balanced. Once you are done, you can place lightweight objects such as vase, small photo frames or other books as well on the shelves.

Well, these were the top three ideas, we chose to present to you this week. We hope you like them. If you need further details you can always contact us via email. If you are fascinated and willing to try out these amazing DIY ideas, then wait no further. Go ahead and make your walls stand out in a creative and interesting way!

  • Genius SMALL kitchens

    Genius SMALL kitchens

Living in NYC, I’m well practiced in making a small kitchen work.  Pegboards, pull-out countertop extensions, I’ve done it all.  Here are some exciting kitchens that prove small can be pretty and functional.

    via About Home

It’s no secret that in any small room you have to think vertically.  You really can’t have too many shelves and hooks.

Small spaces require more organization and more discipline when it comes to putting things in there place.  The results are a beautifully efficient space.

Don’t forget that small appliances can go on shelves.  In my small DC condo kitchen I kept my microwave on a shelf I mounted or else I would have had no counter space!
A shelf with hooks provides storage for pots and pans, and a narrow surface at the end of the kitchen provides extra prep area and eating space

Keep counters as clear as possible.  This practice has multiple benefits, including more prep area, easier cleaning, making your kitchen look more spacious, etc.

Are there any tips that you have for making the most of a small kitchen?

  • Spring Cleaning in Winter

    Spring Cleaning in Winter

I’m not sure what it is about the new year and cleaning but it feels like spring cleaning in here! It might be the sense of purging things I don’t need as a way to get a fresh start, but whatever it is, I love it.
I take everything off the shelves and out of the cabinets, reevalute when the last time I used it and if it’s worth keeping and freshen up the shelves. Here’s some inspiration if you are feeling the winter cleaning buzz:
One of my favorite things to do is sometimes rearrange some stuff. Move one basket you had in one room to another one. It’s amazing how refreshing it can feel simply by being moved. But, if you have lots of random items which you need to move out or rearrange, you can take advice from simplymaids sydney and they always go an amazing job.

  • Make The Most Out Of Your Closet

Make The Most Out Of Your Closet

Spring cleaning can get to the best of us sometimes and when it feels just a bit too overwhelming sometimes I like to start small! A closet is a great place to get a great amount done but it not take too long to accomplish.

We could do something low-profile like this in our bedroom. Couple of doors and bingo!

Try pulling everything out of your closet, sorting it into piles of keep, donate, and trash. Sort your keep pile into sections on a table or floor of how you would organize it. Plan it out to fit the size of your closet so you don’t have any extra bulk in the way.

Figure out what you need in your closet to function for the stuff it’s going to contain. Do you need more shelf space, more drawers, a few buckets, or more space to hang things? Do a quick drawing of how you’d like it to look so you know you are putting everything in the right place and not missing any essential pieces.

Sometimes it can be a quick run to the store to get what you need, other times you’ll need to think about custom fits for your closet to make it work but either way the closet needs to function for you so customizing it is a great option. Since most closet storage items are not that expensive and most closets aren’t large enough to get to pricey, this is a great budget friendly place to start as well.

Once you’ve updated your closet to fit your needs, put everything inside and enjoy the glory of your new organized closet. Want to keep that amazing? Don’t put anything new in the closet without taking something else out. Make sure you keep a balance of items and space in the closet or every time you go to get something out it will be a big ordeal.
