    2016 Color Trends

There are always a wide variety of color trends each year and I have to say I love most of them this time! I keep seeing predictions of white’s and neutrals and some colors that compliment them very well.

Citrus colors said to be the pop of color this year that makes every home feel bright and airy.
Love this color scheme. Thinking about doing more of a charcoal grey as the base color and then just throwing in some coral throw pillows and some white ruffled pillows to give the room some texture.:
In addition to citrus, corals and and peaches are being picked as one of the most loved colors.
Custom Drapery - We’re always saying you should hang your drapery as close to the ceiling as possible, but being that curtain panels come in standard lengths, renters are often left with either short panels that end before they reach the floor or a pool of extra fabric thanks to short ceiling heights. Since you’re now working with a fixed height, it’s wise to invest in some tailored drapes perfectly suited to your home’s dimensions.:
While white walls are still widely loved, high contrast colors are too like darker grays and gray blue’s.
Pastels go really well with the color trends this year, so I see those being a big hit as well.
What do you think of the color trends for 2016?
  • Why I love the color gray!

Why I love the color gray!

I know I have shared my love of neutrals all over this blog. The bright white crisp look is one of my favorites but so is gray. Here are a few examples why:
It can coordinate with almost ANY color! It is so versatile, clean, and to me there’s something calming about it.
DON'T Forget the Headboard Taller headboards introduce a vertical element that can enlarge the sense of space:

It can be masculine or feminine! There are an endless amount of ways you can style it to fit almost any style or preference.
It can be warm and cozy and looks great with nature.
It can make a statement and works great in children rooms too!
I’ve also noticed it’s the best balance between the which shows more dirt discussion! It hides it quite well!
Do you love gray as much as I do?
  • Subtle or Bold?

I’m in a pink and gray kind of mood today and was wondering what my readers tend to lean towards. Bold accent color or subtle ones? I sway back and forth depending on the color but when it comes to pink and gray I tend to lean towards to the subtle side.

Small Spaces - I chose this space because it reminded me on my apartment in Russia. Though much smaller than this, our living room functioned indeed as a space for living. It served as a family room, a dining room, and a bedroom. In this beautiful space, I love the rustic country dinner table that makes a bold statement in a very faminine, soft modern space.

  • Going Grey

    Going Grey

There’s something to be said about the color grey, especially in a home setting. It isn’t too feminine and it isn’t to masculine. You can pair it with almost any color, and it leaves such a crisp clean look to it!  I’m a long-time fan, hubby is a little harder to convince.  He thinks it’s boring…sigh…

In most cases, it goes great with keeping a room light and bright!
