What Kind of Bed Maker Are You?
As much as I love to say that I am a great bed maker, I tend to to not always be the best at it! Here are a few bed making personalities I tend to lean towards:
The Comfy But Pretty look. You partially made it, but let’s be honest, you just want it to be easy to get back into when the time comes! The Everything Has A Place look. You do it every morning, its part of your routine and you make sure it’s picture perfect ready every time! The It’s My Bed And I’ll Do What I Want or don’t do anything look. It’s a bed! Why make it when you are getting right back in?via pinterestThe Tidy, Clean, & Simple look. You like it polished and clean. You border on the line of minimalistic but also love a hint of character. The Pillow Happy look. There’s no such thing as too many pillows, and you like them in mix matching styles as well! After all, who doesn’t love jumping in a pile of pillows?via cottageintheoaksThe Let’s Do This Later look. Who said the bed had to be made? It looks better folded in a pile anyway! -
Inspiration for mixing and matching bedding
I love mix and match bedding, and can’t wait to pick out the linens for our bed once our wedding is over and we have time to focus on decorating.
I love unexpected mixes like the leopard pillows with the ikat pillow.

If you doubt your ability to mix patterns, start off with one color in different patterns, and add one accent pillow in another color. A monochrome palette will be foolproof.

If you have an upholstered headboard in a non-neutral color, you will need to consider it when selecting your bedding.via Indulgy
New bedding and linens is probably one of the easier ways to make a big impact if you are looking for a change.

Decorating for the later years
As we grow older, there are many things we need to consider. From what we’ll do with our time, to how we’ll stay fit and healthy, the options at our disposal are endless and that can leave us a little unsure about what to do.In particular, how we approach decorating our homes can be a tricky thing to manage. It may seem relatively unimportant in the grand scheme of things but the appearance of our home can have a profound impact on our attitudes, emotional health and general well being. No one wants to spend their retirement staring at four unsightly walls and here we look at a few tips for decorating your home in your later years.via houseandhomeShelf for successFrom books and ornaments to films and music, you’ll undoubtedly have a lot of need for storage in your home. Wall-mounted shelves should be at an accessible height and not contain anything too heavy. Anything you require regular access too should be stored at a comfortable height on freestanding bookshelves or display units. You can always arrange items by color for something artistic and playful.via toddanderinSpare a thought for cleaning and maintenance of these though. Depending on where you live, you may be able to get some help with this. For example, retirement property for sale from leading firms like McCarthy and Stone offer domestic cleaning services with some of their developments.via shanty2chicGet it framedWhether you’re a proud grandparent who wants to show off pictures of their beautiful grand kids or someone looking to take a trip down memory lane through old photos, it’s important you get them framed. There are many styles to choose from but popular favorites include collage frames which display multiple photos in a large frame or single frames arranged in a symmetrical or eclectic pattern. This set-up can also be applied to artwork as well as to personal photographs.via lolalinaGo minimalistAccessibility is an important buzzword as you age so make sure your decorating takes this into account. Keep walkways clear to prevent the risk of falls and embrace minimalist styles that promote clean layouts and minimal furniture. Kitchen Details That Make All The Difference
Recently I’ve been gravitating more and more to my kitchen (not good considering I’m getting married in 7 months.) I’m not sure if it’s the cold that’s making me think of baking and hot home cooked meals but I wanted to share some pretty awesome ideas for an exhaust fan. Exhaust fan you say? When you have one as horrific as mine – think impossibly loud but completely ineffective, exhaust fans suddenly become a big deal.

No one likes a burnt smell, lingering odor, or a smoky kitchen (or not being able to hear yourself think when your’s is on). Since exhaust fans have suddenly become important in my life, you learn to appreciate the ones that function as the kitchen gods intended. If you are anything like I was, you probably spend .2 minute of your lifetime thinking about them, but I have started to learn the undeniable value of a good fan! You’d love to read more about the bathroom exhaust fan review by Home Gear Kit. Turns out I’m not the only one, because once I started doing some research to replace mine I fell into the rabbit hole of gorgeously designed (and functional) exhaust fans.
There’s a plethora of sources to find excellent looking exhaust fans, including Westside Wholesale online household supermarket. There are so many options besides the traditional one most homes have so you can find one that will compliment your style and space perfectly.

For those of you who don’t know there are plenty of amazing things an exhaust fan can do for your kitchen. Exhaust fans not only purify the air, but also protect the whole home. Think about what happens each time you cook, there is a significant volume of oil vapors, steam, smoke, and other substances accumulated in the kitchen air. These vapors form oil layers on the kitchen ceiling and accessories as well as on the furniture standing in other rooms. An exhaust fan can take that away which can save your furniture from staining and dirt!

If you are like me, the second I think about an exhaust fan, I think of the amount of noise it makes. You can get an exhaust fan with minimal noise! It’s an option on most exhaust fans but I’m learning now would totally be worth it! A popular option would be to get a fan that is energy efficient and obtain optimal heat transfer. This feature saves you some costs and reduces electricity bills. Additional lighting, damper, and motor lubrication are some more options that aren’t always necessary but can really help the look or life of your fan!

Now I can’t stop looking at all the options out there! There’s more to exhaust fans then you thought, isn’t there?
