    Love this space

The color of the china cabinet is perfect to add some interest to the space.

Two images above show the entryway.  The owners have used mismatched chairs in lieu of a console.

Great idea to remember – oversized prints hanging side by side in the hall

Perfect desk – plenty of surface area to spread out inspiration

LoVe that chair and the gorgeous view!

I don’t think I could ever do orange in my bedroom, but this wallpaper is beautiful. I could do it in my home office I think – as orange is supposed to boost creativity.

I am a magazine hoarder, because I’ve found that sometimes I’ll flip through a magazine from a year ago and something will catch my eye that didn’t the first time I looked through it. So perusing last summer’s magazine is sometimes like opening a brand new magazine. This bookshelf has the perfect sized cubbies to store mags.

A little tangent – some awesome design on the silver screen

I saw Sherlock Holmes a while ago in Boston visiting my friend Liz, and we both ended up drooling over more than Robert Downey Jr. Both of us being RISD grads, the art at the end credits left us in our seats while audience rolled out. Here are some great screenshots I found on Graphic Exchange. The end sequence was done by a company called Prologue, which coincidentally enough, another RISD friend of mine used to work for in LA. You can read about their process and see more concepts at the post on Graphic Exchange.

    The board

Rachel McAdams was great in this role too – but I like all her stuff (a bit of a girl crush)

So, if you ever watch the movie stay tooned for the great work of art that is the end credits!

They also have a great deal where you can get a sample of the art – about 5.5″x8.5″, for $5.00 – and if you choose to buy then that $5.00 goes to the full-size version!

Do you like these as much as her fabrics?

The concept is that you “subscribe” and every month get a new piece of art from a San Francisco Bay area artist. You can read all about it on their site, artinabox.net. Here are some of my favorites:
