Essential Cookware For Every Kitchen

When furnishing your kitchen, there are certain items that you simply should not fall short of, at any given time. Could you imagine your home without glasses, forks, knives, and plates? How about pots, frying pans, sauce pans? This list could go on and on forever, to be fair, but let’s stop there, since I believe you get the point. And the point is – every home needs cookware. Learn more.

However, if you have experience with shopping for these essentials, you must know how difficult it can get to distinguish pure quality from pure marketing tricks. Don’t get me wrong, there is nothing unusual with advertising products. It’s the way things work today.

But, the problem arises when there are so many different products promoted by cooking TV shows, infomercials, websites, and more. And each and every product is categorized as a “must-have”. You absorb these on a daily basis and, in the end, you can’t differentiate between what you really “must have” and what can be attributed to great marketing techniques subtly influencing your way of thinking. We all must admit it; psychology is a crucial part of advertising.

That being said, in order to successfully refuse to fall prey to these tricks, you must first do some research, and then some thinking of your own. After all, you don’t want to end up with appliances and tools that you will never be using. Or even worse, with poor quality products that quickly end up being unusable… Keeping that in mind, I have tried to comprise a list of cookware that definitely falls under the “must-have” category.

Here’s what your kitchen needs apart from cookware: https://www.thespruce.com/kitchen-supplies-after-moving-2436286

Essential Cookware

Let me start by explaining that every cooking space is different. As is every human being and their ways of preparing food. That’s why, you should first decide what it is exactly that you need and what would best fit your cooking needs and preferences.

Still, there are some universal tools that almost everyone needs. Except, of course, those who never actually turn the stove on and use the kitchen space only for getting a glass of water. But, since you’re here, I’m guessing you’re not one of those.

Non-Stick Pan

What could be more annoying than doing the dishes after your stomach is full of the delicious meal you just made? I can think of one thing. Effortlessly scrubbing the surface of your dishes until your hands start aching and then realizing that they are still not clean enough.

So, what can a non-stick pan do for you? I suppose the name speaks for itself. These are the pans that allow you to prepare a nice breakfast without worrying about scraping burnt leftovers from its bottom afterwards. They feature a coating that prevents substances from sticking to it and making your dish-washing process a nightmare.

I would argue that, among a few other things, this is the most useful instrument for any cook out there. Of course, when choosing your perfect pan, make sure to look for a non-stick one. Together with a couple of other Our Place kitchen essentials, this is the one that will make your cooking experience significantly easier and more pleasant.

Large Pot

How often you will be needing a large pot depends on the size of your family. Nevertheless, even if you live by yourself, this product will come in handy from time to time. In fact, probably more often than you might think.

Let’s say you are inviting someone over and you want to make some nice pasta. Then you realize that you have to use multiple pots for a single meal. Multiple pots not only mean more dishes afterwards, but you will also probably get frustrated with the whole cooking process. “Have I added spices to the first one, or to the second one?” This is only one of the things that might confuse you and turn the delicious dinner you wanted to prepare into a dinner that you better haven’t prepared at all.

Having a large pot comes in handy for pastas, sauces, soups, stews and all kinds of different dishes. Especially when you need to prepare a bigger amount. You need something that will be able to handle the volume.

Cast Iron Skillets

These have been around for a long, long time. And for a reason. They are mostly held in high regard for their heat retention abilities. Furthermore, the cast iron skillet is known to be able to use both in the oven and on the stove top. This makes it a useful “two in one” product.

Given the durability of this product, it’s highly likely that you will be using it for a lifetime. Of course, that is if you choose wisely. Do a proper examination before buying it, so that you get the real deal and not a cheap knockoff. Thanks to Our Place for consulting!
